Reckless

by Craig Lucas

Reckless

Forced to flee one snowy Christmas Eve when her husband casually confesses to putting out a contract on her life, housewife Rachel leaves on comic nightmare for another when she takes up residence (and an entirely new identity) with a mysterious physiotherapist and his deaf-mute paraplegic wife. Beginning as a bizarre twist of fate, Reckless is a harrowing journey where everything Rachel flees from ultimately comes back to haunt her.

Directed by Jeff Robinson. Jeff is a musician, actor and playwright. His acting career began in 1985 when he played Zachariah in Athol Fugard’s Bloodknot. He has performed at the Wheelock Theatre, Black Folks Theatre, New Theatre, Vision Theatre and the Merrimack Repertory Theatre among others. Most recently he wrote and performed Live Bird, a one-man multi-media musical drama celebrating the life of Charlie Parker.

A graduate of Boston University, Craig Lucas is the author of Missing Persons (1995 Drama Desk nominee for Best Play), Reckless, Blue Window, and Prelude to a Kiss. He is the recipient of the Los Angeles Drama Critics Award, the George and Elisabeth Marton Award, three DramaLogue Awards, the Outer Critics Circle Award and the Obie Award. Prelude to a Kiss received a Tony nomination for Best Play during the 1989-1990 season.
